The American Revolution
After the American Revolution, the colonists desire for freedom grew a huge amount. The 13 colonies united together again and plotted a war against Britain. Soon after plotting their plan on Britain, King George tried to calm the colonists anger by removing the townshend acts. He was worried that the colonists would start a civil war so he tried to prevent that as much as he could. It didn't work too well because the colonists and the British started fighting what is now known as the American Revolution. It lasted from 1775 and was finally declared over in 1783. The Treaty of Paris officially ended the American Revolution and declared America a free country.
