Making the Colonists Angry
In the late 1760's King George passed a series of laws that angered the American colonists. Those laws included the Stamp Act, the Sugar Act, and the Townshend Act. But after over 6 years of screaming and protesting, British soldiers were sent to Boston to bring down the tension the colonists were causing and to make sure that they did not try to rebel against any of the new laws that had already been in place and any of the new ones that were yet to come. The colonists did not like the intruders and immediately started fighting to get them out of their land. To make things worse, King George passed the Quartering Act which forced the colonists to open up their arms and welcome the soldiers into their house and supply them with food or whatever else they would possibly need. As it would soon become clear to King George, due to what seemed like a little street fight that broke out in the middle of an intersection in Boston, the colonists would do almost anything to get the British soldiers out of the houses and rightfully owned property.
